We are looking for a responsible Health and Safety Officer to administer and organize all types of projects safety, Creating, enacting, and updating job safety programs for employees from regulations as well as company standards for safety in the workplace.
Health and Safety Officer responsibilities include:
Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations.
Creating analytical reports of safety data.
Inspect project equipment and processes to make sure they are safe to operate.
Focusing on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and employee training.
Presenting safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions
Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
Record and investigate incidents on sites and produce subsequent reports and recommendations.
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Carrying out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire company
Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site
Reviewing and reporting on the staff’s compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance
Auditing production, keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behavior or breaks in regulations.
Field to investigate environmental accidents and other public safety concerns within their market. They may also assign team members to investigate reported incidents.
Design training programs to provide safety awareness education.
Give presentations about current safety hazards based on market research to educate others about avoiding health, safety, and environmental hazards.
Assess risks associated with tools and equipment, job sites, and work environments within their assigned research market.
Preparing documents for ISO audits and other health and safety audits.
Degree or Diploma in Engineering or safety management or related field is preferred
Proven work experience 2- 4 Years as an HSE officer or similar role.
An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OHS/EPA) and procedures
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus Outstanding organizational skills diligent with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
Certificate in occupational health and safety
OSHAD Practitioner and NEBOSH IGC certification
Can immediately join us (e.g., canceled visa, visit visa)
Minimum of +1 years of fire protection, oil & gas, construction & civil work experience * Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
